About

Very late to the tabletop RPG scene. Coming from the punk, hardcore, noise, whatever music scene, I'm really resonating with the DIY nature of the hobby. There's a ton of systems, games, adventures, and resources out there that people are self-publishing, modifying, and sharing. It's really inspirational and just flat-out cool. At 41, I still have a very active imagination. I still feel awe when I read a good book or see a decent tv show or movie with great ideas and lore. I still get inspired by artists' concept art and illustrations and wonder to myself, what world is that mech or alchemist from? How does that mech work? Where is that alchemist headed off to?

I'm really resonating with the whole "OSR" thing as well. I'm not exactly sure and really don't care what it means, in terms of what exactly "OSR" is and where it comes from and all the splitting of hairs that happens in these scenes/hobbies, but I feel like I'm understanding its vibe and intent, and if I'm understanding it correctly, I'm digging it.

To add to all this, because I think representation matters, I'm part of the BIPOC community, a Filipino-American, and an immigrant. My pronouns are he/his.

My goals are:

  • To have fun
  • To share resources
  • To make a 'zine one day
    • I want to make a 'zine of tables for a realistic post-apocalyptic setting with a focus on helping a solo rpger
    • Maybe a 'zine of tables for a sci-fi, hex crawl setting
  • And to DM one day
