Tern

 Introduced in Episode 2



Born and raised in St. Helens, Oregon. Anne Fuchs, aka Tern, was in Portland during the start of the Collapse but went back to St. Helens to be with family. The settlers found Tern while hunting/fishing in Sauvie Island (north of the Uni). They were weak from dehydration, malnourishment, and exposure.

Details are blurry about what exactly happened, but Tern seems to have been with a group from St. Helens that was surviving by scavenging. This was not sustainable and the group decided to wander and at some point the group fell apart. There seemed to have been a lot of toxic behavior and unhealthy dynamics happening in the group. Tern slipped away at some point and wandered into Sauve Island where they were found.

In the old world, Tern was into sustainable fashion (recycling, mending, customizing used clothing).
